Week 9 (TNF): @ Arizona Cardinals

Kyle Shanahan is 0-4 in his head coaching career against one opponent. The Arizona Cardinals.

It’s hard to believe, but the 49ers have pulled out wins against both the Seahawks and Rams since Shanahan took over, but haven’t beaten the worst team in the division.

The Cardinals remain an emaciated roster with questions at nearly every position. However, if you haven’t realized how much I value rest and home-field advantage, this shows it. A game against Carolina is going to be a grinder and wear down both teams.

Having to travel on the road, only get three days of rest, and facing an easy opponent to overlook makes a perfect storm for Kyler Murray to run wild on a worn-down 49ers defense to give him an early career signature performance.

Prediction: L 45-31 (5-3)
