February 12, 2019:  Antonio Brown requests a trade from Pittsburgh

Following an embittered dispute with Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger — sound familiar — Brown sat out the final week of practice and the Steelers’ season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Brown, who racked up 1,297 yards and a league-high 15 touchdowns, then tweeted a goodbye video — a video that also included him hugging Roethlisberger — along with the caption “Thank you SteelerNation for a big 9 years…time to move on and forward.”

And with that, Brown’s prolific stretch in Pittsburgh screeched to a stop, gifting the rest of the NFL with a chance to land a seven-time Pro Bowler.

March 7, 2019: Antonio Brown nixes a trade to Buffalo

After spending nearly one month on the trade market, Antonio Brown was reportedly dealt to the Buffalo Bills, league sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Brown then took to Instagram, calling the reported trade “fake news.”

The deal, like all-things-Antonio, never actually materialized as Brown was unwilling to report to Buffalo. For what might have only been a few moments, it looked like Pittsburgh had rid itself of Brown, only for him to spurn both franchises and further tank his trade value.
