The San Francisco 49ers have released their first official depth chart ahead of Week 1. Here are the top four takeaways from the initial depth chart.

The San Francisco 49ers are only days away from the start of their 2019 season as they will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday to kick off Week 1 of NFL action.

However, before they began their journey to Florida this week, the team had to finalize their initial depth chart for the first game of the season.

Per the team’s website, the 49ers have officially released their first depth chart of the season and while there weren’t many major surprises, there were still a few roles that were eye-opening.

Whether it was players being placed higher/lower than expected or individuals being given different roles than anticipated, the initial depth chart helped shed some light on how the 49ers view their current roster going into Week 1.
