Stock Up: Keelan Doss, WR

Like last week, I could have put pretty much any of the receivers who played in this one, as they all did well.

But Doss led the team with five receptions after a “Hard Knocks” episode which put a lot of focus on him causing a lot of non-Raiders fans to be watching out for him Thursday night — and they definitely noticed him.

Doss only had a 7.6 average on top of 38 yards, but he caught all 5 of his targets and showed nice body adjustment on a couple of his receptions, as well as the ability to find the soft spot in the defense.

The receiver room is stacked, so despite these good performances from Doss, a veteran like Ryan Grant or J.J. Nelson would most likely have to be cut to make room for Doss.

It’s doubtful he goes unclaimed if sent to the practice squad, especially with the exposure he’s gotten from “Hard Knocks,” so the coaches are going to have a very difficult decision in the future when it comes to the hometown kid out of UC Davis.
