3. DeAndre Washington, RB

DeAndre Washington has seen his role with the Raiders decrease over each of the last three seasons with his playing time in 2018 reaching a new career low.

Washington was on the field for just under 7% of offensive snaps and carried the ball just 30 times for 112 yards. While his average yards per carry increased from his dreadful 2.7 average in 2017, it was nowhere near the promising 5.4 average he had back in his rookie season.

Unfortunately, Washington just doesn’t seem to fit a specific role on this team.

Josh Jacobs was drafted to hopefully be the bell-cow back of the future. Jalen Richard is the team’s pass-catching, third-down back who makes the most of his opportunities. And 2018 preseason standout Chris Warren III will return and hopefully serve as the team’s power back.

Perhaps veteran Doug Martin could find himself on the roster bubble this preseason but the Raiders will likely lean on him while Jacobs develops because of his experience as a starter in the past.

Washington is simply the odd man out.

The writing has been on the wall for quite some time now meaning that his eventual departure shouldn’t catch anyone off guard. Here’s to hoping that the former Texas Tech star could latch on with another team’s roster elsewhere.

It’s just likely not going to be in Oakland.
