Round 7 (230th Overall) — Quinton Bell, DE, Prairie View A&M

With their final pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Raiders essentially pulled a complete 180 and went with a player who couldn’t have been more different than Renfrow from a skills perspective. Quinton Bell out of the FCS level Prairie View A&M was the selection and even the most astute of draft analysts and scouts were probably left scratching their heads with this pick.

That isn’t to say it was a bad move, after all, it’s late in the seventh round so it’s pretty difficult to make a bad selection. Bell, a converted wide receiver, played just one season as an edge rusher with the Panthers and is as raw as you could get as a prospect.

But Bell has freakish athleticism and put up some unreal numbers at his pro day. His broad jump, vertical jump, and 40-yard dash time were all impressive enough to leave any scout who had heard of him salivating and likely led to Mayock pulling the trigger and drafting him here in the seventh round.

Next. Oakland Raiders: Derek Carr must prove his worth in 2019. dark

Will he pan out? Probably not, but the experiment should be a heck of a lot of fun to watch unfold. At the very least, these are the types of players you draft in the seventh round so it’s hard to find any reason to complain about this selection.

Final Grade: B
