Round 4 (129th Overall) — Isaiah Johnson, CB, Houston

It’s clear that the Raiders have a type with the secondary they are trying to build, and that was made even more evident with the selection of Houston’s Isaiah Johnson late in Round 4. Johnson is a very raw, athletically gifted press-man corner who projects as a high-ceiling, low-floor type of player.

Having converted from wide receiver just two seasons ago, Johnson is still learning the nuances of the cornerback position and his tape isn’t exactly dominant. It’s going to take some work, but Johnson has exceptional length and athleticism for the position and has the raw traits you look for in a cornerback. However, it will be up to him and his coaching staff to maximize his potential and turn it into production.

Another pick based on potential, but one with arguably more upside than one prior. As such, the final grade is bumped up a little.

Final Grade: B
