The Oakland Raiders will soon have a problem to address at running back. Numerous options will be available during 2019 NFL free agency to fill the void.

Right now, most folks are focused on how the Oakland Raiders are going to fix their defense this offseason. As a result, people seem to be missing the fact that there are positions in need of help on the offensive side of the ball as well.

One of the Raiders’ key offensive needs this offseason lies at running back. With Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin and Jalen Richard (restricted) all headed for free agency, they could soon be without all three of their top runners. If that ends up being the case, Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock will need to find an answer for the ground game.

They could turn to the 2019 NFL Draft to solve said problem. Seeing as 2019 NFL free agency comes first, though, it makes more sense to focus on potential solutions through that channel.

So who are the top free agent running backs who could help the Raiders moving forward? There are a number of big names scheduled to be available, as well as some lesser-known options who offer upside as well. For the purposes of this piece, though, we’re pinpointing the top targets for Gruden and his Raiders.
