Though some articles are out there speculating that new Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury could use the top pick on a quarterback – with most connections linking him to Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray – it doesn’t seem entirely likely given that they traded with the Raiders last year, moving up to No. 10 to take Josh Rosen.

It’s possible they could move on from Rosen after just one season – just as they did with former head coach Steve Wilks – but it doesn’t seem entirely likely.

Now, Rosen didn’t play particularly well last season, finishing the year 2,278 yards, a 56 percent completion rate, 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. But, that also might be the product of a severe lack of talent around him – David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald aside.

The likeliest scenario is that the Cardinals accumulate a little more draft capital by trading that top overall pick to a quarterback-needy team. Should they opt to keep it, they will most likely go with the best player on the board – Nick Bosa.

The Cardinals have such tremendous needs on both sides of the ball, it makes sense to start building up the defense with one of the most disruptive playmakers in all of college football the last few years.

Simply put, talents like Bosa don’t come around all that often and you can’t pass them up when they do. Arizona won’t.
