Golden State Warriors: 3 takeaways from win over Sacramento Kings
Following the Golden State Warriors’ recent defeat of the Sacramento Kings, let’s look at a few things we can take away from that contest.
The Golden State Warriors bounced back after falling to the Houston Rockets in heartbreaking fashion by putting the Sacramento Kings away. They marched into the Golden 1 Center and showed why they are the defending champs. It was far from a perfect game, but they were able to find enough of a rhythm to come away with a 127-123 victory.
The Warriors are still figuring things out. Injuries, inconsistent play, and mental fatigue have really made this trek through the regular season their most difficult yet. They are more Loki than they are Thanos at this moment.
Though it’s only January, this was an important win for the team. James Harden‘s game-winning three-pointer in overtime was crushing. Their inability to hold a 20-point lead and execute down the stretch despite all of the talent at their disposal could have really been a blow to the team, but champions have special resolve. So they responded in the best way they could: winning.
With that said, let’s dive into the game and look at three noteworthy takeaways from the victory.
