The Oakland Raiders dropped yet another game on what has become a lost season – let’s take a look at the good, bad, and ugly from that game.

For anybody thinking Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders are tanking this season, they should have put some of that chatter to rest with their effort against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. No, they’re not tanking, and as we saw against the Colts, they’re still competing hard.

They’re just not a very good football team – which might be a very generous way to put it.

To say this season hasn’t gone according to plan for Gruden, the Raiders, and the fans, would be like saying, “there sure are a lot of stars in the sky,” “water is wet, fire is hot,” and “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” is the most horribly unwatchable thing on television today.

In other words – yeah, duh.

The season seems to be going from bad to worse, with top players being moved, lackluster performances all around, a plan for moving forward that seems incoherent at best, and the losses continuing to pile up.

Thus far, eight games into Gruden’s reunion tour with the Raiders, this organization has all of the dysfunction inherent within a Fleetwood Mac reunion, but way less great music. You can’t even say this team puts the “fun” in dysfunction. That’s how bad things are right now.

For a little while against Indianapolis, the Raiders looked to be playing some inspired football – at least, the offense did. We’re still busy trying to locate the defense. It’s not entirely clear whether they actually came back from London with the team or not.

And speaking of that debacle across the pond – unlike that travesty, there were actually some good, bright points to Oakland’s battle with Indianapolis. There were a few bright spots to be found here and there, and you didn’t even have to look to hard to find them.

Unfortunately, the dark cloud of misery that currently hangs over this team like Eeyore’s rain cloud, took center stage, and the bad things this team did, ended up far outweighing the good.

All of that adds up to yet another loss in a season that’s come apart at the seams – which is really horrible, when you consider that we haven’t even hit the halfway point of the season yet.

The Raiders are currently sitting at 1-6 on the year, meaning, we still have nine games left to endure as we look ahead to the 2019 NFL Draft, and consider whether or not to file a federal lawsuit against Oakland for violating our Eighth Amendment rights in forcing us to sit through this dumpster fire.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the good, the bad, and the ugly in this terrible, horrible, no good, very bad season.
