The Oakland Raiders are across the pond, getting set to take on Seattle, so we sat down with our sister site, Emerald City Swagger to get the scoop.

The Oakland Raiders have traveled across the pond to take on their former AFC West rival Seattle Seahawks – continuing the NFL’s attempt to expand the reach of The Shield globally, in another International Series game.

This year’s game in London pits two teams who are struggling – the Raiders come into the game 1-4, while Seattle is 2-3 on the year. To say this is a must win for the Raiders would be something of a vast understatement. It’s going to be tough enough for them to dig themselves out of the 1-4 hole they’re in, and can’t afford to make it worse by going 1-5.

However, as far as the International Series goes, it’s been nothing short of a house of horrors for these Raiders. Although the fans travel well, unfortunately, the team does not. Like, at all.

In three International Series games, the Raiders are sporting a 1-2 record – their only win coming in 2016, in Mexico City, against the Houston Texans (27-20). Their other two games, one in Mexico City, the other in London, saw the Raiders get trashed by the Miami Dolphins (London, 2014) and the New England Patriots (Mexico City, 2017).

In those three International Series games, the Raiders have been outscored 91-49, and in their two losses (38-14 to the Dolphins), and (33-8 to the Patriots), the games weren’t even as close as the score. Simply put, in International game, the Raiders have a penchant for looking bad. Really bad.

Which makes this trip to London a little bit concerning, as they’re staring down the barrel of a 1-5 start, which would virtually pull the plug on a season that’s already teetering on life support.

For the coming game, we sat down with site expert Ed Stein ( @tapout632 ), from our sister site, Emerald City Swagger, to try and dig up a little intel on the enemy. We’ll be passing along any important nuggets of information we glean directly to Jon Gruden, don’t you worry about that.

So, ahead of Sunday’s tilt, let’s hear what Ed can give us on the Seahawks…
