The Oakland Raiders slogged out a 13-6 win over the Packers on Friday night, so let’s take a look at the good, bad, and ugly from that game…

For the Oakland Raiders, game three of the preseason is in the books, and they have but one more dress rehearsal before the lights come up, and the 2018 season officially gets underway with a Monday night showdown against the Rams.

But, if Friday night’s game showed us anything, it’s that the Raiders still have plenty of work to do to get ready for that opening week showdown.

Yeah, they pulled out a 13-6 win over Green Bay, but it was a sloppy, sloppy affair. One would have hoped that by the third preseason game, the team would look a little bit better than it did.

But, here we are.

With HC Jon Gruden expected to keep things close to the vest and not play the starters in the preseason finale with the Seahawks, we might be treated to a little more of the same.

Guys are going to be battling for snaps, as well as roster spots, knowing that their performance in that last exhibition game may sway the thinking on them, one way or another.

Guys on the roster bubble will be going all out, in what will be their final chance to turn the heads of the coaching staff.

It will be an energetic game, to be sure. But, it could also potentially be sloppy and disjointed.

These first three exhibition games have had their moments, to be sure. A number of guys, veteran and youngster alike, have made some outstanding plays.

But, there have also been plenty of those other kinds of moments – the mind-numbing mistakes, the inconsistency, and the just flat-out poor, boneheaded play.

Taken as a whole though, there has been more positive than negative through these first three games. And although some are picking the Raiders to be a dumpster fire this year, and a team that’s likely to replicate their 6-10 record last year (if not post a record that’s even worse), there are reasons to be optimistic.

With all of that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the good, the bad, and the ugly, from Oakland’s preseason win over the Packers…
