The Oakland Raiders have had an offseason of massive upheaval, but the work isn’t done – let’s look at a few players who will be under the biggest microscope this year.

For the Oakland Raiders, the only constant this offseason has been change. New/old head coach Jon Gruden has brought in a ton of new faces in an effort to rebuild a squad that already had plenty of talent, but underachieved their way to a 6-10 record last year.

And let’s be real here, given how poor they looked for much of the season, they were almost lucky to have gotten to six wins last year.

But, Gruden’s been tasked with turning the ship around. And to that end, he’s shaken things up, jettisoning some dead weight, and bringing in more than twenty new faces to compete for positions on the depth chart this summer

Though Gruden has been criticized in many corners for the age of the free agents he’s brought in, what he has done is brought in some established leadership in these veterans.

And truth be told, leadership was something that seemed to be sorely lacking last season.

Gruden has made it clear that nobody should feel too safe.

He’s been clear that where a guy was drafted, or how much money he’s making, don’t mean a thing to him when it comes to evaluating and shaping his roster.

Some positions appear relatively set though, but he will be watching very closely as he tries to assemble a roster that can compete.

Which means, there will be added pressure on some players to show out and prove they have what it takes to be on Gruden’s roster moving forward.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at a few players who might be under a bigger microscope this season…
