Denver Broncos

The Raiders penultimate regular season game in 2018 will be with division rival Denver. Having stolen one in Mile High earlier in the year, the Broncos will be looking to pay the Raiders back, and either enhance their own potential playoff positioning, or ruin Oakland’s.

Division games, especially late in the season, and most especially when there are potentially playoff implications on the line, are always heated, intense affairs. This one is going to be no different. Perhaps, even more so.

We’re projecting though, that the Broncos are going to struggle in 2018. Maybe not to the extent they did last season, but by the time week sixteen rolls around, they’ll be playing out the string. Our thinking is that Case Keenum isn’t the solution at quarterback John Elway and the Broncos think he’ll be.

After all, fourteen games in a seven year career does not a Hall of Famer make. It seems more of a case of the right system at the right time for him.

Which means, their motivation is going to be in making sure they help ruin the Raiders’ potential postseason plans.

A Von Miller and Bradley Chubb-led defense is going to be fired up to take it to the Raiders, which means that the offensive line is going to have to be on point in this game. They’re going to need to create space for Marshawn Lynch and the backs to run, as well as give Carr ample time to operate.

If they can do those things, they’ll win this game.
