The Golden State Warriors, facing elimination, are on their collective heels, and have many wondering if they can rebound in time.

The Golden State Warriors are reeling after dropping two games back-to-back to the Houston Rockets — and those two losses may not be a sign of good things to come.

Let’s take a look at a few numbers to put things in context.

729. It has been 729 days since the last time the Golden State Warriors have trailed in a playoff series.

If there is any solace in being down 3-2 to Houston, its being able to reflect on how good the Warriors have had it and for how long.

Three. The number of times the Warriors have lost three games in a row in the Steve Kerr era.

It’s extremely impressive that this has only happened three times in four years, including the playoffs. The downside of this statistic is that one of those was at the end of this season and another was a finals loss after being up 3-1 to the LeBron James led Cleveland Cavaliers. Not exactly a good omen.

Zero. The number of threepoint shots James Harden, the presumptive MVP, hit on eleven attempts.

This is such a massive gift to the Warriors that it’s borderline hard to even wrap your head around how this was even a close game, much less a loss. This only happened once this entire season and the Warriors can assume it won’t happen again.

Sixteen. The number of turnovers the Warriors committed in game five.

As if that weren’t bad enough on its own, it was the same number of turnovers were committed the previous loss in Oakland. Sixteen turnovers is a recipe for disaster regardless of whether your shots fall or not.

Something happening in succession is a trend, and this is not a trend you want.

Sixteen. Again. the NBA record for consecutive home wins in the playoffs.

More from Golden State Warriors

This record is currently held by the Golden State Warriors. The bad news is that the record was just snapped several days ago by the Houston Rockets and there couldn’t be a worse time to lose this streak than when your playoff life is on the line at home.

Two. The number of times Kevin Durant lost his shoe in the fourth quarter.

Its easy to laugh at this but then when you realize he had zero assists in the fourth quarter, it’s hard to believe he had more shoe losses than assists

What we do know is that the Golden State Warriors are great, but in a season filled with constantly being told that the switch will get flipped soon, slow starts, and lackadaisical play, now would be a great time for them to get it together and flip the proverbial switch.
