Gareon Conley, CB

The first spot on this list goes to last season’s first round pick, Gareon Conley. Conley missed nearly all of his rookie season with a shin injury. Appearing in just two games last season, Conley is still a huge question mark.

More from Golden Gate Sports

All though he did look good in his limited time on the field, the pressure builds when you are a first round pick and people are still unsure about you.

There re high expectations for Conley this season, as he is expected to be the team’s number one corner. Because of these lofty expectations placed upon him, Conley is under immense pressure to perform well once the season starts– in order to prove his worth as a first round pick.

Conley is still recovering from the surgery that repaired his shin injury. According to head coach Jon Gruden, “He’s extremely close.” The fact that we have still yet to see a healthy Conley return to the team has caused some uneasy feeling to develop among fans.

There is still plenty of time for Gareon Conley to show his worth on the team. But for now, Conley is among the players with the most to prove in the upcoming season.
