Isaac’s Projection: Round Seven (picks 223 and 240): Jordan Thomas (CB – Texas) and Zaycoven Henderson (DT – Texas A&M)

In the seventh round the team can use these picks as an opportunity to just add depth at two defensive positions. This depth may come in players such as cornerback Jordan Thomas and defensive tackle Zaycoven Henderson.

Thomas comes out of the University of Oklahoma. In his time in Oklahoma he went from someone who could have gone higher in the draft after his breakout five interception season, to someone who will almost surely fall this far in the draft after his disappointing final season. Alas, the potential is still there.

Henderson will fall due to his size and character concerns. This may be reason for the team to shy away from the defensive tackle. If it not, he is worth the team’s final pick in the draft.

Kevin’s Projection: Round Seven (picsk 223 and 240): Sione Teuhema (LB – Southeast Louisiana) and Steve Ishmael (WR – Syracuse)

In the final round of the Draft, the 49ers add to their linebackers group by taking Southeast Louisiana’s six-foot-four, 260 pound linebacker Sione Teuhema. Over his two seasons with the Lions (19 games), Teuhema racked up 109 tackles – 27.5 for a loss – and 13 sacks.

Teuhema could be a solid contributor on special teams right away, and with some work could provide some solid rotational depth to San Francisco’s linebacking corps.

And with their final pick the Draft, the 49ers opt to give Garoppolo another weapon in the six-foot-two, 209 pound wideout Steve Ishmael.

Over his four seasons with the Orangemen, Ishmael totaled 219 receptions for 2,891 yards (an average of 13.2 yards a catch), and 18 touchdowns. It was his 105 catch, 1,347 yard, seven touchdown senior season though, that landed him in the radar of some scouts.

With 4.5 speed, sure hands, and a good knack for route running, Ishmael could be a big sleeper in the Draft. Nabbing him here could wind up being a tremendous value pick.
