San Francisco 49ers Roundtable: Final seven-round mock draft
By Kevin Saito
The San Francisco 49ers are heading into the draft with a plethora of needs. Fortunately, they have the capital to fill many of them.
When the San Francisco 49ers are on the clock as the 2018 NFL Draft gets underway this Thursday, they’re going to have to finally make some decisions and pull the trigger as they flesh out their roster.
And perhaps, the biggest question mark looming over just about everything at this point, is what they’re going to do about Reuben Foster.More to the point, how will Foster’s legal situation impact their draft board. Or, will it?
You would think that given the murky waters Foster is in right now, with the potential for a decade long prison sentence hanging over his head like the Sword of Damocles, GM John Lynch and HC Kyle Shanahan would be preparing for a football life without their young star.
Right?
Maybe. Maybe not. Some draft experts have the 49ers moving forward as if they expect Foster back in the fold and business to go on as usual at some point this offseason.
Foster aside, the 49ers do find they have needs at plenty of other spots. How pressing those needs are, and how the team prioritizes them, might be up for debate, but it seems clear that the 49ers need help on the corners, at safety, guard, and perhaps even tight end.
With the actual Draft almost upon us, fellow site expert, Isaac Gutierrez and I sat down for a little “roundtable” final mock draft for the 49ers, as well as for the Raiders.
So, without further ado, here is our final seven-round mock for the San Francisco 49ers…
