Isaac’s third round pick (#75): Tim Settle, DT

Despite the presence of Khalil Mack, the Raiders have had one of the league’s worst pass rushes

in recent years. While the decision to move Bruce Irvin to full time defensive end may help to remedy this problem, it is not enough.

The team still needs an interior line presence against the pass. Time Settle can be just that for the team. Settle is a defensive tackle from Virginia Tech who can come in and start for the team immediately.

It would not be terribly surprising if Settle were to be taken in the back end of the second round, but because of the depth at the position in this draft he will likely be available when the Raiders make use of their third-round pick.

If the team is able to land this player in the third round, he could very well end up being one of the steals of the draft. He has that much potential.

Kevin’s third round pick (#75): Equanimeous St. Brown, WR

Despite the addition of Jordy Nelson, Gruden was very clear that the Raiders “weren’t done” addressing the wide receiver position this offseason. Which likely means they’ll be looking to the Draft to stock up on a few more weapons for Derek Carr to utilize.

At six-foot-five, 214 pounds, St. Brown has the speed (4.48) to play outside, but he is also comfortable moving inside as well. He’s not afraid to go over the middle, and can blow by cornerbacks on deeper routes.

One thing Gruden’s offense requires is precise route running, and St. Brown is known to be good in that department.

Notre Dame’s struggles and limitations at the quarterback spot have helped to perhaps, push St. Brown’s profile down a bit, leading many to think he’ll be available in the third round. If he is, Gruden would be smart to snatch him up and give the offense another weapon.
