Welcome to the first San Francisco 49ers mailbag here on Golden Gate Sports! I’ll be addressing the draft, red zone efficiency and more so continue reading!

The San Francisco 49ers started off the season with their worst franchise start in history until they finally earned their first victory at home against the New York Giants.

After that, everything changed for the better when they acquired Jimmy Garoppolo from the New England Patriots for a second round pick.

The whole atmosphere of this team has become extraordinarily positive, and it started to change when Garoppolo threw a late touchdown pass against the Seattle Seahawks.

Garoppolo has now led the 49ers to three consecutive wins, including two straight on the road.

Even though the 49ers have a 4-10 record, they are a much better team than the record otherwise indicates, after suffering through a rash of injuries that has left the team hobbled.

Players like Marquise Goodwin, Trent Taylor and Kendrick Bourne have all stepped up their game since Garoppolo became the starter, and that should be no surprise. Just like Tom Brady, Garoppolo can make the weapons around him better.

So let’s begin the mailbag!
