The Sacramento Kings went into Oracle Arena in Oakland and came away with a comeback victory in the final minutes with a score of 110-106.

The Sacramento Kings picked up one of their best wins so far this season when they defeated the reigning champion Golden State Warriors on their own floor.

Now, there have only been a handful of wins this season, but this game, along with the victory against the Los Angeles Lakers last week is certainly a huge momentum builder for this team.

The Warriors were without their two MVP’s in Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. But, that isn’t an excuse when you have two All-Stars in Klay Thompson and Draymond Green along with multiple players like Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston who have been great for the Warriors on this dominant run they’ve been on these past few years.

This was a great back and forth game and there were points when the Warriors would get a run going to take a lead, only for the Kings to show their resilience and cut into those deficits.

In the end, the Kings came back from a 106-102 deficit, scoring eight straight points to win the game, 110-106.

Of course, we have to talk about Bogdan Bogdanovic in this one, but we’ll go more in depth on him later.

All you need to know is that this rookie from Europe who is playing on the biggest rookie contract in history, came up clutch with a big time shot over Draymond Green to put Sacramento ahead 108-106.

He then hit two free throws to end the game by a score of 110-106.

The Trio

Yesterday’s game was huge for three certain players. Bogdanovic, Willie Cauley-Stein and Frank Mason were all unbelievably huge for this team especially as time wound down.

Along with hitting the go ahead shot and the game sealing free throws, Bogdanovic scored 12 points in 22 minutes on 4-7 shooting and had three assists. He’s been improving a lot recently and he’s been developing into a beautiful duo with big man Cauley-Stein.

More from Golden Gate Sports

Speaking of Cauley-Stein, ever since he started coming off the bench, he’s been playing like a monster. Ignoring the Los Angeles Clippers game, he’s really been on a tear.

Yesterday, he went 8/9 from the field scoring 19 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing out six assists. No Warriors player seemed able to stop him and it was very fun to watch him get dunk after dunk and lob after lob.

The lob from Frank Mason toward the end of the game quieted the crowd in Oracle like few have ever seen before.

Frank Mason was also so, so good against the Warriors. Off the bench as the third point guard, he scored 14 points on 5-10 shooting , dished four assists and grabbed three rebounds in 25 minutes. He was also the point guard that played in crunch time and helped the Kings come out with a victory.

The Veterans

The veterans on the Kings roster also came up big when needed the most.

George Hill finished the game with 16 points on 6/10 shooting and 4/5 shooting from deep with one assist and two rebounds.

He was able to put together one of his best performances of the season after having plenty of games he doesn’t want to remember.

Garrett Temple also got back to having a good game. In 30 minutes, he scored 14 points on 4-7 shooting along with three assists and three rebounds. He continues to be a vital asset to this team.

Although Zach Randolph struggled on 4-11 shooting, he added 11 points and grabbed six rebounds and was the tough presence this team needed at times.

Vince Carter only had four points, but boy were they some good four points. On one play, he drove straight to the rim and scored a reverse layup over a defender. His next points came on a one-handed fast break dunk.

This was a massive victory for the Kings who have already defeated the Los Angeles Lakers this season. If they’d been able to hold onto their lead against the Clippers, it would’ve made for a highly successful few weeks.
