Oakland Raiders: A Few Keys To Victory Over The Denver Broncos
By Kevin Saito
The Oakland Raiders are set to square off with division rival Denver – let’s look at a few keys to victory over the Broncos.
The Oakland Raiders, coming off a thorough trouncing at the hands of Washington, are looking to get back on track. Last week’s edition of SNF – otherwise known as the Sunday Night Fiasco – saw the Raiders get trounced in every single possible form and fashion.
Needless to say, it wasn’t pretty.
But, they have a shot at redemption this week in the form of longtime arch-nemesis Denver. Like the Raiders, the Broncos are off to a 2-1 start after an up and down beginning to the season. In week one, the Broncos barely survived Philip Rivers and the Chargers.
In week two, they came out and thoroughly dominated a Dallas Cowboys team many think is a sexy Super Bowl pick. And last week, they stuttured and sputtered their way to a 10–point loss to Tyrod Taylor and the Buffalo Bills.
So, which side of this Jekyll and Hyde Broncos team will the Raiders get? Much of that, of course, is in their own hands. If the Raiders can come out and play inspired football, they can give Denver a punch in the mouth they may have trouble getting up from.
However, if they come out as flat and listless as the did against Washington, then it could be another really long night for HC Jack Del Rio and his crew.
Denver is a tough test and this divisional match-up is an important game. It might be too early to call it a “gotta have,” but it’s pretty close to it.
Knowing this game is important, let’s take a look at a few keys that could help put the Raiders back in the win column.
