Reason #5 – Because I Say So

Clearly, the poster ran out of intelligent commentary, scintillating insights, and comedy gold, because he wrapped things up not with a bang, but with a sad, little whimper.

"“I can list plenty of reasons why the Raiders are going to regress, but we all know that they will find a way. I have no reason to list here and simply want to reserve this space as a wild card, a ‘free space’ on the bingo card that is Raiders football.”"

The points, insights, and commentary are so – well – ridiculous, quite frankly that the entirety of this piece can probably be summed up in these few words, “I don’t like the Raiders and I hope they do really, really, really bad this year.”

Or you know, the sort of argument your basic five-year old could make.

The poster says he can list plenty of reasons the Raiders will regress in 2017, and yet over the span of a 1,000 word article, he didn’t really list a single one with any real merit or substance to it. And simply saying, “they’ll find a way,” really is as ludicrous as it sounds.

But that’s all they really have at the moment.

Well, after a season in which the Raiders made the playoffs and Denver didn’t, they’re forced to take the Silver and Black a little more seriously now. And they don’t like it. They don’t seem to like it one little bit. And so, out come the torches and pitchforks, all the predictions of a horrible season for the Raiders, as well as all the scathing commentary you can imagine.

And it’s only April.

Given how early the attacks started this year, the Denver faithful must be very, very scared as they confront what may be another long, playoff-less season for their team. And seeing the Raiders (finally) on the rise again obviously sticks in their craw pretty badly.

There’s a lot of time before now and the regular season and a lot can still happen. But to see Denver fans gripping this hard, this early, is – well – quite frankly, pretty funny.
