Best Impersonation of a Professional Wrestler: Angel Pagan

Let’s be honest, Angel Pagan isn’t getting any younger. He’s 35 years old, and entering free agency. It’s never too early to start thinking about what to do after a playing career ends. Maybe Pagan gave us a preview of what he’ll do next on September 30th.

During that game with the Dodgers, a couple of activists ran onto the field. The activists, who were attempting to hand paper flowers to players, were protesting Dodger Dogs at AT&T Park, so they had it coming. One of them ran into left field, where Pagan was waiting.

The Giants’ left fielder lured him in under the guise that he would take the flower (really great heel tactic), but pounced immediately. Pagan wrapped the protestor around the waist before dropping him straight on his back with a very well-executed belly-to-belly suplex. Pagan even stayed on top of the protestor, obviously waiting for the referee to show up and give the three count.

Security arrived shortly after, separating Pagan and the protestor before the ballplayer could hit the Atomic Leg Drop to truly put the match away.

Pagan earned a standing ovation from the fans in his section, and tipped his cap on the way to the dugout. The fans probably just wanted to see a bit more wrestling action.
