DeMarcus Cousins is…Dean Ambrose

DeMarcus Cousins is one of the most polarizing figures in American sports. His stats show that he is one of the best big-men in the NBA. For his career, Cousins averages 20.1 points per game, 10.8 rebounds per game, and 1.2 blocks per game all on 46.1 percent field goal shooting. Cousins has made back-to-back All -Star games and finished first in usage percentage with 35.4 in 2015-16.

Cousins proves time and time again that he is extremely athletically-gifted and poised to be one of the better big men of all-time when it is all said and done.

But Cousins’ issue is that he has a temper problem. He has 89 career technical fouls, averaging to about 15 technical fouls per season. These technical fouls will hold Cousins back and he cannot be truly great until he overcomes this issue.

Another thing holding back Cousins is the Sacramento Kings as a whole. The team hasn’t added quality talent around him and has not made the playoffs in the six years Cousins has been on the roster.

They have made multiple coaching changes and it is hard for Cousins to be considered one of the best if he doesn’t have a chance to prove himself in the playoffs.

Now looking at Dean Ambrose the two have multiple similarities.

For starters, Ambrose loves to fight. Like Cousins, the Lunatic Fringe does not back down from a fight. He is known as a brawler and is one of the toughest men on the roster. He is stubborn and in his feud with Brock Lesnar, taunted the much larger man to prove a point that he will not back down.

Cousins and Ambrose match up almost equally in terms of toughness.

Ambrose has also been held back greatly by the WWE Creative team. WWE has yet to give Ambrose a shot with the WWE Heavyweight title having him in championship matches, but never having him winning. If Ambrose were to win the WWE Heavyweight championship it is far to be seen what it would do for his career.

Both men are tough as nails and super talented. They have been held back by their respective teams. If they were given a chance to shine, given their portfolio, there is a good chance they would make the most of it and shoot to the top.
