Comparing Bay Area Sports Stars to WWE Wrestlers
By Dan Fappiano
Khalil Mack is…Kevin Owens
Khalil Mack has officially played in 32 games and taken only 1,996 snaps. But in those snaps Mack has proven to be a dominant force and already one of the best defensive players in the game.
In 2015 alone Mack racked up 77 tackles, 15 sacks and two forced fumbles. His 15 sacks finished second in the NFL behind only JJ Watt.
Mack also made NFL history being elected as an NFL All Pro in two positions. Mack has been an All-Pro at Defensive End as well as Outside Linebacker.
Mack is only 25 years old, yet defensively he has taken the NFL by storm. Assuming Mack can stay healthy, he has a chance to go down as one of NFL’s greatest defenders.

Kevin Owens on the other hand has been on the WWE main roster since May 18th, 2015. That means as of WrestleMania, Owens has been on the roster for 321 days.
By all means 321 days is a small amount of time, expecially in WWE standards. With multiple title changes within the year, 321 days seems like not enough time to establish oneself as a top superstar in the company.
But like Mack, Owens has made a name as one of the better superstars in WWE in his short amount of time with the company.
In Owens’ first match in WWE he defeated long term face of the company John Cena. Cena rarely loses cleanly and for a rookie to come in and defeat him is unprecedented.
Owens is also a two-time Intercontinental Champion, proving that he has the ability to be a top star.
Mack and Owens are both two, young dominant stars in their respective fields. They have both come in and taken the world by storm showing their dominance from the first snap or bell.
And the best part about the two, they’re just getting started.
