The first day of the Pac-12 Tournament is complete, and the higher seeds swept the lower seeds in a series of blowouts.

The first day of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament is in the books, and there weren’t many surprises or much excitement on day one. If you came to Las Vegas looking for a close game that went down to the wire on day one, tough luck. In the four games, the average margin of victory was 20 points, and even the closest game resulted in a nine-point separation.

There was a big shooting difference between the winners and losers. The four winning teams shot a combined 46 percent (112-243) from the floor overall, while the losers shot 37 percent (90-243). That disparity was even greater on three balls. Winning teams shot 39 percent from beyond the arc (35-90), while their opponents shot just 24.4 percent (20-82). The four victors out-rebounded the fallen four by 37.

The four winners get rewarded by playing another day, and there’s no rest for the weary, as they’ll be right back at it tomorrow against teams that got a chance to sit back and watch on Wednesday.
