2016 NFL Combine Wrap-Up for the Cal Bears
Trevor Davis, Wide Receiver
Measurables (position ranking):
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 188 lbs.
Arm Length: 31″
Hand Size: 10″
Davis is about average as far as height goes, but is definitely one of the smallest wide receivers, being one of just three that weighed in under 190 pounds. His arm-length is over an inch shorter than the average wide receiver’s at the Combine, but his 10-inch hands are some of the bigger mitts in the group.
Drills (position ranking in parentheses):
Bench Press (225 lbs): 11 (29/36)
40-Yard Dash: 4.42 (3/36)
Vertical Leap: 38.5″ (4/41)
Broad Jump: 124″ (12/40)
3-Cone Drill: 6.60 (2/27)
20-Yard Shuttle: 4.22 (15/27)
60-Yard Shuttle: 10.94 (2/19)

Unlike his former running mate Lawler, David enjoyed a nice workout showing at the Combine. He was in the bottom of the pack in bench press, not surprising with his size, but ran a great 40-yard dash, ending third among receivers at 4.42 seconds. He followed that up with a strong showing on other drills, ranking second in the three-cone drill and 60-yard shuttle, fourth in vertical leap, and the top-third in broad jump.
Davis also put himself on the map with a strong showing with soft hands, making some nice catches and showing his good cutting ability. Couple this solid performance with Davis’ experience as a return man, and NFL teams should definitely have him on their radar now if he wasn’t before.
