March 18-March 25: Western Conference Stretch

This set of five games will feature Western Conference teams exclusively. As we know, the Western Conference is full of dangerous teams, and this stretch will by no means be a breeze.

Game 16: At Dallas Mavericks
The Warriors will head to Dallas to take on Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks on March 18th. 25 percent of the Warriors losses this season have come at the hands of the Mavericks, which isn’t saying much being that the Warriors only have four L’s. Nevertheless, they are one of the teams who have beaten the Warriors, albeit in a game when Curry was sitting out with injury. If they are fully healthy, look for the Warriors to prove that the Mavericks were lucky the Baby Faced Assassin wasn’t available.

Game 17: At San Antonio Spurs
This will be another highly anticipated game, as was the first match-up. However, the game on January 25th proved to be anticlimactic, as the Warriors throttled the Spurs by 30 points. This time around the game will be held in San Antonio, and you know the Spurs are looking to send a message. At the All-Star break, the Spurs sat just 3.5 games behind the Warriors for first place in the Western Conference. With two meetings to go after this one, this game could prove to be pivotal. This is the game that I believe will result in the Warriors seventh loss of the season.

Game 18: At Minnesota Timberwolves
The Warriors will travel to Minnesota to take on the Wolves, just in time for the warmth of spring to hit the chilly north. Last time these two matched up, Curry caught fire, putting in 46 points on 15-for-25 shooting. They will look to lean on Curry once again as he continues to lead the NBA in scoring. The Warriors should walk out of here with a fairly easy win.

Game 19: Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers will head up the coast to Oakland for this March 23rd game, the final one of their four-game season series. At the break, the Warriors had already beaten them twice. No matter how the third match-up goes, the Clippers will either be looking to tie up the series, or not get swept, either of which is extra motivation. However, I believe Golden State will take care of business at home.

Game 20: Dallas Mavericks
This will be the final game that the Mavericks and Warriors play this season. After the Curry-less Warriors suffered their second loss of the season to this Mavericks , they will probably want to make sure that it is the only loss they suffer against them this season. With that being said, Warriors have no business losing this game.
