Super Bowl 50: Grading The Weekend Festivities
Oklahoma City vs Golden State
Why is basketball in this discussion one might ask? It was Super Bowl weekend, but Saturday night, Oracle Arena was rocking after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 116-108. The game stole the highlight for Saturday after a primetime TV appearance on ESPN, and it just so happened to be in the Bay Area.
Stephen Curry and company outplayed Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook after a fourth quarter comeback and an epic duel to silence the MVP critics. With the fade away over Durant late in the game and 46-4 record, Curry may very well be on his way to another regular season MVP.

While Super Bowl City was rocking through the night and the popular regular season matchup, the Warriors increased the hype for Sunday’s game. Curry, who is a Panthers fan, became good friends in recent years with Newton through their mutual sponsorship of Under Armour.
With a 15-1 regular season record and the Warriors 46-4 right now, the state of California and North Carolina have been shaking as they have been putting on a show in 2015.
