Unless you’re a fan lucky enough to be behind one of the four remaining NFL teams, it can be difficult to pick a dog in the fight. The NFC Championship features the Arizona Cardinals squaring off against the Carolina Panthers, while the AFC Championship pits old rivals against each other once more, when the defending champion New England Patriots host the Denver Broncos.

For fans of the 28 other teams, the ones sitting at home watching their rivals chase their dreams, picking a team to cheer for over the next few weeks is treacherous business. There are reasons to root for, and against, each of the four teams, even though some of those reasons may not be that obvious.
