Denico Autry

Autry is another solid rotational player along Oakland’s defensive front. He played in fourteen games in 2015, making eight starts, coming on late in the season and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, making play after play.

One of the reasons Oakland’s defensive front was so strong and so successful this past season was their depth. They were able to run out fresh legs and keep the pressure on. It’s one reason Oakland’s sack total increased dramatically from 2014 to 2015.

For the season, Autry finished with three sacks and was a real presence up front. Autry earned just half a million dollars for the Raiders last season, which made him a real value. He will likely be looking for a little more money and perhaps a multi-year deal.

Assuming the price tag isn’t too high, the Raiders should really make a run at retaining Autry’s services. He proved to be a valuable member of the defensive rotation and Oakland absolutely needs to retain some of the depth that made their defensive front one of the more ferocious in football.
