Oakland Raiders: 2016 Offseason In House To Do List
By Kevin Saito
Having claimed Mayowa off waivers from Seattle in 2014, Mayowa has been a terrific value addition to the team. He played in all 16 games that season, making one start, and provided some solid play up front.

As a restricted free agent, the Raiders have the right to match any offer for Mayowa. And depending on the deal somebody might offer him, the Raiders might want to consider doing just that. Though not a stat machine like some of his teammates, Mayowa was a solid rotational player for the Raiders on a defensive line that was vastly improved in 2015.
Injury limited Mayowa to 12 games in 2015, and the fact that he didn’t record eye popping stats may hold his market down to a reasonable level – though he should probably expect a bit of a raise over his original three year, one and a half million dollar contract he got from Seattle. But hopefully, not too much.
With Justin Tuck likely not coming back to the team, Mayowa’s experience makes him a valuable asset to the team and they should make an effort to re-sign him. But they should take care not to overpay.
