Wide Receiver – Fred Biletnikoff
Biletnikoff followed up a distinguished career at Florida State by being a second round pick in the 1965 AFL Draft by the Raiders and a third round pick of the Detroit Lions of the NFL that same year. Thankfully, Biletnikoff chose the Raiders and signed with them.
For fourteen seasons, Biletnikoff racked up catches, yards, awards and accolades. His 589 receptions for 8,974 yards remains second only to Tim Brown on the Raiders career receiving list. He’s seventh on the Raiders’ career scoring list – but the third non-kicker behind just Brown and Allen.
Biletnikoff was a six time Pro Bowler over his career, was a first time All Pro once, a first team All AFL selection once, and was the Super Bowl XI MVP, finishing his storied legacy with induction into the Hall of Fame in 1988.
