Not all of these names are tied to the Giants, but it’s an opinion about how they can get better after the signing of Samardzija. They are clearly not done, as Maeda is getting posted soon, but the trade route might be a safer alternative. Left field and another middle of rotation arm are the focus for the Giants getting back into playoff contention.

If there is a combination of acquisitions that would make the Giants better, signing Kendrick and Span, and then trading Belt and Panik to obtain Carrasco should get the job done. Baseball is a business and the players know this, but Giants have to make some noise after missing out on 2015. Guys are coming off the books and they need act quick.
