Oct 18, 2015; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde (28) rushes for a gain during the first quarter of the game against the Baltimore Ravens at Levi

#11 – Carlos Hyde, San Francisco 49ers

The numbers don’t paint the picture of how truly talented 49ers’ running back Carlos Hyde is. Injuries and inconsistent line play in front of him have hurt his production, but he is still an incredibly talented football player.

Hyde was given a tall task, as he was the man slated to replace Frank Gore, an all-time great 49ers’ running back. Things started off well enough, as he piled up 168 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries in week one, but has fallen backward since. Over the past six games, Hyde has only totaled 302 yards on 89 carries, a 3.4-yard average, and scored once.

Hyde’s built like a tank, standing six feet tall and tipping the scales at about 230 pounds. He’s a load to bring down, and he has some nifty moves to get away from tacklers as well. He has shown good bursts of speed but hasn’t had much of an opportunity to show them consistently.

Of course, with a shoddy offensive line in front of him, it would be hard for Hyde to succeed. It would be hard for any running back to succeed when the guys in front of him are basically 300-pound turnstiles. Even still, the second-round pick from Ohio State has a bright future in the league.
