It’s a great time to be a Bay Area sports fan. There have been championships, Most Valuable Players, winning seasons, playoff runs, and great athletes galore in recent years.

Combined, the seven Bay Area teams in the four major sports have a 1,693-1,635 record (50.9 win percentage) since the 2010 seasons began (that would be 2010-2011 for seasons that split years). That record comes despite having a couple of teams that haven’t had a winning season in the decade. There has been 16 playoff runs combined, an 88-50 record (63.8 win percentage) in the playoffs, including five championship appearances that have culminated in four championships.

That success has come from the amazing athletes that call the Bay Area home. There are dozens and dozens of special players in the area, and it was tough to limit this list to just 30. Inevitably, some fantastic people were left off this list of the top-30 players in the Bay Area sports scene right now. That just goes to show the level of competition that is in the region.

Despite not technically being in the Bay Area, the Sacramento Kings were included in this list. They’re close enough.
