The St. Louis Rams had week six off, as they were the first NFC West team to have their bye week.
After an offseason trade brought quarterback Nick Foles to St. Louis from the Philadelphia Eagles, Foles has seemed to take a step back in the Rams’ offense. His 57.4 completion percentage, 3.5 percent interception rate, 191.2 passing yards per game, and 77.6 passer rating are all the worst numbers of his career. His 6.8 yards per attempt are the lowest since his rookie year in 2012.

Running back Todd Gurley, the 10th-overall pick in this year’s draft, has looked like a franchise running back in his first two career starts. He missed the first two games because of a torn ACL suffered in college, and returned in week three, getting six carries and gaining nine yards.
Over the past two games, Gurley’s first two as a starter, he exploded for 305 yards on 49 carries. Unfortunately, Gurley is still looking for his first career touchdown.
Overall, the Rams’ passing offense is ranked 31st in the NFL, while the rush offense is 13th-best in the league. Defensively, the Rams are 10th against the pass, and 21st against the rush.
Coming off their bye, the Rams have a matchup with a much-improved Cleveland Browns’ team that nearly beat the Denver Broncos in week six. The Rams can’t take this game lightly.
