Postseason baseball has begun, and the San Francisco Giants are stuck at home, watching on the couch, with only their three recent World Series rings to bring them comfort. A hard-fought, injury-riddled season came to a close on Sunday, and although the season ended much earlier than was hoped, the Giants have a lot to look forward to in the coming season.

But for now, nine teams are left to battle it out (after the Houston Astros beat the New York Yankees to open the postseason) for their own opportunity to raise the Commissioner’s Trophy and be called World Series champions.

To make up for the lack of Giants’ baseball, Golden Gate Sports will hand out 2015 superlative awards, honoring some great players, and great plays, from the past season. Unfortunately, the banquet hall was booked solid, so the ceremony with Colin Hanks as host had to be cancelled.

So open up Youtube, turn on some music to set the mood for an evening of celebration, and find out who takes home the Giants’ 2015 Superlative Awards.
