Based on the incredibly limited amount of touches he got last week against the Vikings – five – and what he did with those touches – five yards – it’s safe to sat that the team is not getting their money’s worth out of Trent Richardon. Even if what they’re paying him is peanuts.

Richardson got off on the wrong foot when he battled pneumonia and missed the first five days of camp. That seemed to put him behind the eight-ball from the get go. And he’s been trying to play catch up ever since.
In two preseason games, Richardson has done next to nothing at this point – which makes the minimal investment the Raiders put into him look extra smart at this point. There are some in the Raider coaching staff who want to see Richardson succeed and he will likely be given every opportunity to show that he can contribute to the team’s success.
But if he doesn’t perform well tonight, it very well may be the last we see of Richardson in a Raider uniform.
