Brandon Crawford always seems to come through in big moments, and with the bases loaded in the fifth inning on May 16th, Crawford came through again.

Already leading the Cincinnati Reds and Mike Leake (another awkward situation?) 5-0, Crawford stepped into the box with two outs. There were three ducks on the pond, all waiting for Crawford to do what he’s done time and time again this season, drive them home. On the first pitch, Crawford did just that.
Leake left a fastball out over the plate, and Crawford crushed it into deep right-center field. It landed pretty high up in the bleachers, giving Crawford three career grand slams in the regular season. Don’t forget about that crowd silencer in Pittsburgh in last year’s NL Wildcard Game, either.
Crawford’s enjoyed a career year so far in 2015, and against his future teammate Leake, he made it known that his bat is just as good as his glove.
