Another recent addition to the Giants arsenal, these Sunday road alternates were unveiled in 2012. These uniforms are nearly the exact clone of the Will Clark-era Giants road uniforms. On those jerseys, the more squared version of the interlocking SF is used, but everything else, down to the black headspoon, remains the same.

The jersey is also nearly identical to the standard road uniform the team currently wears. The only other difference in the whole uniform is the cap. Normally, the Giants wear a standard black hat with an orange interlocking SF logo. However, with these, the team wears their black caps with orange SF logo and orange brim. The orange brim tends to be a Sunday go-to, be it at home or on the road. Yet another tribute to the days of Giants past, the orange brim hat sets a tone for this uniform from head to toe.
These jerseys were announced as being the jersey of choice for Sunday games being played on the road, but unfortunately this is not always the case. For whatever reason, some weeks the team will simply skip this uniform and stick with the standard road uniform. This may be due to travel restrictions or issues with jersey prep, but no matter what the reason, it’s too bad. This is a sharp uniform, adding a retro spin to a modern-styled jersey and rounding out an overall impressive set of uniforms worthy of a three-time World Series winning team.
