David Lee’s Return to Oracle

In the dreadful years that the Warriors have seen since their NBA championship in 1975, plenty of players have come and gone. Some All-Stars, and some not so much. David Lee chose to play for the Warriors during their dark years. As a highly coveted free agent, it was something that shocked even the most hopeful of the DubNation faithful.

He ground out 20 win seasons and major roster overturn in hopes that one day he would be holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy above his head.

That day finally came, although his role had changed tremendously. Once a 20 point, 10 rebound per game player, last year there were some nights he didn’t touch the floor. Through it all, he maintained a professional and team first attitude. That is why his return to Oakland on April 1st, 2016 should be one of the most anticipated Warriors games of the season.
