Golden State Warriors: Key Dates On 2015-16 Schedule

First Meeting With David Lee

On December 11th, the Warriors will take on the Boston Celtics at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. While a meeting with the Celtics would usually come without much attention at this point in the season, this year may be a little different.

This night will mark the first time the Warriors will see their beloved former teammate David Lee. Lee was traded to the Celtics this offseason in return for Gerald Wallace, who was later shipped off in a separate deal to acquire former Sacramento Kings big man, Jason Thompson.

The Lee trade was done as sort of a favor for all he has done for the Warriors franchise. The main purpose of the trade was to find him a home that could use his services to a fuller extent.

While there will be plenty of hugs and smiles pregame, it will likely be nothing compared to Lee’s return to Oracle for the first time, later in the season.
