Amari Cooper‘s First Game As a Pro
While he isn’t going to see a lot of action, Cooper may see a little more than most expect. This is going to be his first taste of live, NFL action, and while his reviews coming out of training camp have been positively glowing, working against opposition wearing a different helmet takes things to a whole new level. And it will be interesting to see how Cooper responds to the challenge.

It’s easy to believe that Cooper is going to make such a smooth transition to the pro game that he’s going to seem like a ten-year vet on day one. And when you see plays such as the one where he absolutely abused cornerback Keith McGill – twice on one play – it’s tempting to buy into the hype. But he is still a rookie who will be squaring off against those wily ten-year vets, so there is going to be a period of adjustment and acclimation.
Ultimately, Cooper is going to be a fantastic addition to Oakland’s passing attack. Raider legend Tim Brown believes he is the next great Raiders receiver. But he does still have some learning to do. There is no doubt that he’s going to be a quick study, but Oakland fans should expect a hiccup or two early on.
But Cooper’s transition and acclimation to the NFL is going to exciting for fans to watch.
