The Oakland Raiders, like every other team in the league, are looking for creative and innovative ways of increasing and maximize their offensive production. And like a lot of other teams, the Raiders have bulked up their tight ends position group.

The tight end position is becoming increasingly valuable in a team’s offense. Some fans like to credit players like Jimmy Graham for “revolutionizing” position. And while Graham and those like him are terrific players who have brought a lot to the table, we still think that a player like former Raider Todd Christensen would have a lot to say about that.

Needless to say, having a good tight end in the passing league that is the NFL is critical. Especially down in the red zone, when tight ends who typically have larger frames than wide receivers can put up a lot of points for their team.
