The Warriors need shooting off the bench, and this guy who played down the road at Stanford proved himself qualified for the job this past season.

Brown is listed as a small forward by DraftExpress, but NBADraft.net’s listing of him being a SG/SF combo is much more telling of Brown’s potential. He’s not an explosive athlete and will need to improve on his inside scoring, but he fits the “3 and D” mold should he be available for Golden State to take at 30.

Though he has the physical tools to become a great on-ball defender, he has yet to realize that potential as he lacks the toughness that goes with being an bothersome defender. However, his defensive instincts and feel on the defensive side of the ball shows a lot of upside in that department.

He’s also a very willing passer both in the half court set and in transition, always looking to get his teammates involved. Safe to say that kind of attitude fits perfectly in Golden State.
