Rozier’s name has appeared alongside Golden State’s in a number of mock drafts, and he’s described as a score-first combo guard capable of being a force on both sides of the ball. While his 6-foot-2-inch height leaves something to be desired at the two spot, his 6-foot-8-inch wingspan and superb athleticism give him the capability to stay in front of bigger point guards.
He also boasts a 33-inch no-step vertical, as well as a 38-inch max vertical, which allows him to play above the rim and rebound the ball well for his size. His 3/4 court sprint time of 3.15 seconds and lane agility time of 10.88 at the Draft Combine wasn’t all that impressive for his position, but his speed coupled with his length is sure to make him quite the defensive pest.
Going into his sophomore year at Louisville, Rozier was known for his solid spot-up shooting, averaging 37.1 percent from behind the arc as a freshman. With one of Golden State’s team needs going into next season being long-range bench scoring, Rozier will need to regain that long-range shooting stroke if he wants Golden State to consider keeping him long term.
