Streater has shown a lot of promise early on in his career. In his rookie season, Streater caught 39 passes for 584 yards and 3 TD’s. His 15.0 yards per reception tied for 19th in the league. He followed that season with a sophomore campaign of 60 receptions for 888 yards and 4 TD’s. He did well in the yards per reception category again, finishing tied for 27th with 14.8 yards per catch.

Going into the 2014-15 season, a lot of pressure was on Streater as many expected him to take another step forward. Unfortunately, he got injured after playing in just three games. He ended up on Injured Reserve and his season was put to an end.

Now fully healthy, Streater looks to get back on the right track and cash in on some of the early career potential he showed.

At only 26 years old, Streater has great height and athleticism to succeed in the NFL. At 6’3″, Streater has the height of Packers’ wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Streater ran a 4.46 40 yard dash at the combine, which is the same speed as another Packers’ receiver in Randall Cobb.

Streater’s game can go one of two ways in 2015. He can either continue to improve on his early career success and prove that he is a fixture in the Raiders’ receiving corps, or he can fall off into obscurity. The Raiders are hoping for the former, as Streater can either play on the outside or in the slot.

Streater has a lot to prove as well, as he is on a one year deal. If he were to underperform, then it is uncertain if the Raiders or any other team would give him another chance.

Streater is not going to blow anyone away, he is not a top flight receiver, but he is extremely capable and can prove to be a true asset if his health holds up.
